Classic Lace Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line two baking sheets with nonstick liners (parchment paper) etc. something to make the cookies not stick
  2. Grind almonds (walnuts) with food processor
  3. Heat butter, sugar, and corn syrup in a medium saucepan over low heat, stirring often until butter melts and sugar dissolves.
  4. Remove pot from heat and stir in flour and salt until incoporated. Stir in ground almonds (walnuts) and vanilla extract.
  5. Drop batter by teaspoonful 3 inches apart on baking sheets (6 per sheet). Bake until light brown (~10 mins.). Transfer to wire rack to cool.
  6. Shape cookies however you want.
