I miss my friends. I miss my old life. Anxiety attacks and all.
I never post anymore. Partially for lack of time, and partially because I try to minimize computer time at home...
I'm still alive though and now back on the west coast. I'm going to try to post more about my cooking/baking adventures since I always want to discuss what happened, how I want to change it next time, etc.
I made monkey bread. I followed a recipe I found on the internet, but next time I'll have to adapt it. Turns out 4 cans of biscuit dough is a bit much for my bundt pan. I had never heard of monkey bread until Williams Sonoma featured it in their catalog this month, and then it was on an episode of Good Eats. I figured this was a sign, I should try to make monkey bread. So instead of buying the mix, or doing the very extensive Alton Brown recipe, I scoured the internet and found an easy one.
I adjusted it, I only used one stick of butter in the "syrup" and next time I'll only use 3 biscuit dough things.
Despite the not so pretty look since I had to bake it twice due to underdone biscuit dough, it was a hit at work (both mine and Mike's).
