a girl in my program cracked me up today... Our conversation went like this:
Me: Wow, look at all that snow.
C: Yeah, I was just walking in it.
Me: It's really coming down.
C: Yeah, I felt like I was in a huge snow globe.
Okay so maybe it's not that funny, but if you knew her it would be. It was just an off-the-wall comment from a generally quiet girl.
Oh so we're expecting anywhere from 5-9 inches of snow. I hear Seattle is sunny and warm. Does bad weather just follow me around? To top it off, there's tons of snow falling, but apparently not enough to build a snowman. In the words of my professor, "Now what's up with that?"
tivo records something. you watch it and forget that it's tivo'd so you don't fast forward through the commercials.
snow... snow... snow... it's everywhere and it melted during the day today which means tomorrow it will be icy beneath snow. that's the worst. it took me a good 15 mins to clear my car of snow. i've tried to cheat on that before... then you're driving and trying ot see outside the rear window and going oh crap i can't see :( not safe not good... slowly but surely i will learn to cope with snow.
it's so gray and cloudy. i miss the sun. make it come back. i saw a cute outfit in the forever 21 store today... just as i was driving by on my way to school. it was a green tank with a white skirt that came just below the knees. probably wouldn't look right on me since i have short legs, but my only thought was... yeah like it's warm enough to wear that?! the stores change clothes too quickly. before the weather warms up there are no more jackets to speak of... :( i want to go to ann taylor loft, but the one that is near me just had a shooting in the mall parking lot and i don't want to go by myself. maybe if i end up in boston in a few weeks we can go... i want a pair of sunglasses i saw there... but they may be gone by then anyways.
my friend is selling his car a bmw 330Ci (don't ask me what those numbers/letters mean). i've known him since at least third grade and well... let's put it this way this car has been well taken care of... it even has a 1" binder documenting it's care. scary huh? and you guys thought i was meticulous. anyways here's the link.

that's what the weather was like today. a lot of ppl have been asking me about classes... classes are going okay, i'm still deciding what to take. i have 5 classes now but i'd like to pare it down to 4 classes. i think i have until march to decide which ones to take. regardless i'm sure it will work out.
on the positive side, i found a cosi, well really it's called xando but i think they are the same thing. i like it. has decent coffee and a nice atmosphere... looks a lot different from some of the other coffee places around here.
happy valentine's day everybody! a girl got flowers today at the dept but we (she) couldn't figure out who they were from :) i thought it was kind of cute. nice arrangement of flowers too.
no you can't wear cute clothes underneath warm ones... wearing a skirt underneath pants doesn'tn work and i'm not willing to wear skirts over pants that's just layering gone nuts.
it's still cold and windy. heater's still broken so i'm hiding out in my room with the space heater... not unlike i do when the heater's working anyways.
attempt to exercise more... maybe skate more often. i guess since i haven't skated since Houston, I probably won't attempt Worlds this year. Watched uptown girls and it was pretty good. a decent rental for sure. okay only if you like feel good chick flicks. baltimore is about the same... just freezing cold and our heater's not working... we're working on space heater heat until monday when the rates drop for the guy to come out and fix it.
i miss wearing cute clothes. i need warm weather soon...
after a long hiatus, i may start writing again. we'll see. at the moment living in baltimore is still upsetting me. a hopkins student was killed last week and the previous murder is still unsolved. i'm not sure if this masters in security informatics at johns hopkins is worth it. i may be educated, but looks like i could be dead too.
