new adventures in underwear

it's victoria's secret semi-annual sale time now. that means $9.99 bras etc. granted i do not need additional bras, but the idea of a sale is terribly alluring. anyways this past weekend I headed up to vancouver for the usual shopping & eating. oh was there a lot of eating. the usual shabusen for lunch and then dim sum for breakfast sunday. no dinner really on either day. richmond has a cool night market that we ventured to, but it's all cash stuff and we didn't have much canadian cash on us at the time. oh well i guess it's like leaving your wallet at home when going to the mall. back to the title at hand, we went to Jacob, a canadian clothing store and they had a sale on underwear so of course i bought some. they didn't have that much red underwear and what they had was well... pretty skimpy so i had to opt for more normal colors, black, blue, white, etc. this is the week of trying them all out.

thus far, they're relatively comfortable though the last one i wore shifted around a lot. i think because they're supposed to be low waist. it's like there's less elastic per inch or something because they're just a hair loose. anyways the fabric was really quite breathable and i was a little bit worried it would be irritating to my skin, but no problems all day. today will be the test of another pair...

what do you think?

i'm not sure about the dancing part. i enjoy dancing, but it's a bit weird depending on the crowd. however, i do enjoy taking dance classes...

i went rollerblading yesterday and on monday. i lost kevin yesterday... he went on a different path. i thought he was kidnapped or something, but then he showed up.

housesitting this next week. get to play w/ Denali.

serif

serif fonts are pretty. i never realized the complexity of typography. so many fonts, so many different attributes all with a different effect.

i definitely think i'm more a fan of serif fonts than sans serif. (serif == feet) isn't that cute?

i'm dying to travel. unfortunately finances prevent me from doing a lot of travelling as well as work obligations. the weather is getting nice and i want to go outside and enjoy it, but alas the responsible side of me says work needs to get done.

the perfect job

as i start thinking about what's next for me in life, i wonder what job would be ideal? I read this article on CNN today. I think I'd like to do that. I like visiting new places, seeing new things, having new adventures, collecting random silly experiences.

since my friends have been getting engaged, i've been noticing rings a lot more. yesterday before my physical I was thumbing through magazines and I came across this ring. It appeals to me. I don't think b/c of the engagement part of it. i think I'm fascinated by the tension setting. Most of the rings I've seen have the prongs to hold the diamond in place. This one looks like it's just suspended. Fascinating. (No i am not about to get engaged, i'm not shopping for engagement rings either.)

I keep getting told that in the next 2-3 years a good portion of my friends will be getting married. Thus far I know of 2 people who have gotten married and 2 that are engaged. I've heard of other people getting engaged, but I don't think anyone I'm particularly close to has gotten married. From my conversations from the non engaged friends they don't sound like they will be engaged anytime soon but who knows.

it's Friday

i'm looking forward to the weekend because well it's the weekend. i've been exhausted lately at night and in the morning. i've been sleeping a decent amount 7-8 hrs each night, but i'm still tired. the weather here has been gorgeous the last few days but of course the rain should be here in time for the weekend. today it's supposed to be a high of 77 degrees.

other than work and cleaning/organizing stuff I haven't done much lately. it seems that this is the season to travel and people have been in and out of town, so i haven't seen that many people either. i don't really have plans this weekend either. at least not as many as i usually do. maybe i should just take it as time to catch up on sleep...
