as i start thinking about what's next for me in life, i wonder what job would be ideal? I read this article on CNN today. I think I'd like to do that. I like visiting new places, seeing new things, having new adventures, collecting random silly experiences.
since my friends have been getting engaged, i've been noticing rings a lot more. yesterday before my physical I was thumbing through magazines and I came across this ring. It appeals to me. I don't think b/c of the engagement part of it. i think I'm fascinated by the tension setting. Most of the rings I've seen have the prongs to hold the diamond in place. This one looks like it's just suspended. Fascinating. (No i am not about to get engaged, i'm not shopping for engagement rings either.)
I keep getting told that in the next 2-3 years a good portion of my friends will be getting married. Thus far I know of 2 people who have gotten married and 2 that are engaged. I've heard of other people getting engaged, but I don't think anyone I'm particularly close to has gotten married. From my conversations from the non engaged friends they don't sound like they will be engaged anytime soon but who knows.

None of my non-work friends are married. Only one of them is engaged.
I wonder what accounts for this disparity?
